Laurel Lake is a relatively wet place ordinarily with a great deal of precipitation; throughout March this area sees the most rain while October is regularly the driest month. A great close by hotel is Highland Manor Inn And Conference Center, and on a brilliant day you can take a hike along the Anthony Creek Trail. Lakes are good; Sandy Stand Lake       is a lake that's in the vicinity of Laurel Lake, and if time allows, Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a national park worth taking a look at. There's some flowing water nearby, Briar Branch is a stream you can go to while here, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Vista Trail. Why not stop by Laurel Lake Dam since you're here, and Fry Fields is a beautiful place any time of year. You need to pop by Emert Bluff while you're here at Laurel                  Lake. There's so much to do here at Laurel Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Tuckaleechee Campground is a good spot for that. Now, you may imagine that's a heap but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Laurel Lake. You can run the rapids of Little River in the neighborhood of Laurel Lake, and playing golf is lots of fun at Lambert Acres Golf Course. At Laurel Lake throughout the days of summer highs are in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 60's. Highs through the winter are commonly in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Laurel Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Ober Gatlinburg is a wonderful local ski area, and a great sight of lovely Luke Mountain is available. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Dancing Bear Lodge is a perfect choice; Laurel Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Timberwinds Log Cabin Rentals is a brilliant local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Rich Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and unsurprisingly, this is a good vicinity for people who like lakes, Lake in the Sky is a lake close by. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site.
