A round of golf at nearby Kings Creek Golf Club is a wonderful way to kill some time, and why not camp at Traveler's RV Park since you're here at Laura Lake. Days Inn Columbia is a glorious place to get some rest, and Laura Lake is not the only spot close by, Quarry Lake is a close by lake. If you need a place to stay       Best Western Spring Hill Inn & Suites is a pleasant choice. Throughout the warm days of summer highs here at Laura Lake get into the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's while Laura Lake night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Little                  Harpeth River, and Rau-wood Retreat Center is a wonderful local campground. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things at Laura Lake. You'll meet a lot of people from Columbia here, as expected you could also explore University of Tennessee Experimental Farm Lake if you're here; it's not far at all.
