All the water falling down from the sky makes Lake Placid a wet site; the month with most of the rain is May while August is generally the driest month. Near Lake Placid you come across the Lakeshore Nature Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail, and after a long day outdoors Generals Quarters B&B is a fine site to spend       a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Deanburg Hills Lake is in the neighborhood, and dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Jackson. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a glorious time here at Lake Placid. You're sure to bump into some friendly folks from Jackson here; the Forked Pine Nature Trail is a good hiking trail nearby. If you came for an overnight stay Tennessee State Government is a perfect place to camp. Chickasaw State Park                  is a great campground nearby, and if the weather is glorious, you can go for a hike along the Fern Loop Nature Trail. Throughout the warmest time of the year, highs typically are in the 90's at Lake Placid, and the overnight is quite cooler of course, regularly in the 60's.
