Lake Lamar sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is regularly March, that's the one that rains the most, and October on the other       hand is the driest. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things close to Lake Lamar. Hiwassee River has a glorious whitewater paddling spot nearby, and Copper Basin Golf Club is a golf course close by. This lake is so wonderful. Belcher Creek is a striking stream that is worth going to, and Horseshoe Bend is an out of the ordinary thing to see if you're here. London Mills Tailings Pond is a nearby lake that you could visit, and if you need a place to stay Comfort Inn & Suites is a magnificent choice. Camping at Cuddle Up Cabin Rentals is always a good experience, and Blue Ridge - Days Inn is a great place to get some rest. The warmest time of the year at Lake Lamar arrives with high temperatures in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. Highs throughout the wintertime are regularly in the 40's, and night lows in the 20's for Lake Lamar. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. At Campbell Cove Dam close to Lake Lamar there are some out of the ordinary things to see; the peak of Jarnigan Mountain can be seen from Lake Lamar. This lake is so wonderful.
