A pleasant close by hotel is Country Inn And Suites By Carlson Chattanooga I-24 West, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Skyuka Trail. Lakes? Sure, Lake Edna is in close proximity, and whitewater paddling is not       for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Middle Creek. The vistas at Russell Cave National Monument will blow your mind. If you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Chattanooga-Lookout Mtn, Tn is a nice choice; if you come at the right time of year, Rock Creek offers some splendid whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Wauhatchie Branch is right next door to Lake Edna and is always a bliss to pop by, and Pope Spring is a delightful                  local attraction. If only every place had this much outdoors exciting things, what a great globe it would be. If you came for an overnight stay Raccoon Mountain Campground is a brilliant location to camp, and a round of golf at nearby Lookout Mountain Golf Club is a nice way to kill some time. Lake Edna is a rather wet place ordinarily with a lot of rainfall; March is the wettest month with most rain while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. The warmest time of the year at Lake Edna comes with high temperatures in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's; overnight lows at Lake Edna through the winter regularly plunge into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful.
