Why not stop by Lake Cheston if you're passing through these parts. Cedar Hollow is near Lake Cheston and is a great place; do put some time aside to spend at Cherry Spring since you're here at Lake Cheston. Not far from Lake Cheston you discover Cherry Point; if you need a site to stay Monteagle-Days Inn is a nice choice. The Winding Stairs offers hiking at its best, and don't leave Lake Cheston without first checking out Morgans Steep.

| | Little Fiery Gizzard Creek has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby, and Otey View is clearly visible from Lake Cheston. High temperatures at Lake Cheston throughout the months of summer are in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 60's. Pinckney Branch is a scenic stream that is worth stopping at.
Whitewater paddling is glorious on Big Fiery Gizzard Creek, and Cheston Dam is a stunning location. Lake Cheston is a wet location that gets a good deal of rainfall;
most of the rain falls during March while August is mostly the driest month.
What a spot this is for outdoors people. A good spot to camp here at Lake Cheston is Laurel Trails Campground. Lakes? Sure, Eva Lake is close at hand.
This lake is so wonderful. Lake Cheston is great enough to spend more than a day at, South Cumberland RV Park is a great local campground; dry warm beds await you at Best Western Smokehouse Lodge. Lake Cheston in fact is in the middle
of a stunning outdoors paradise. Why not take a refreshing hike along the River Mont Cave Historical Trail; while you're here at Lake Cheston it's a pleasant idea to check out Sewanee Plateau.
