Lake Cheston is always a pleasure to visit. A brilliant nearby hotel is Best Western Smokehouse Lodge; Lake Cheston is right by the Winding Stairs. Put some time aside to spend at Cherry Spring since you're here at Lake Cheston. A great place to camp here at Lake Cheston is Fairview/Devils Step Campground, and if you want to stop at some attention-grabbing stuff, stop at Morgans
Steep. Cedar Hollow is close to Lake Cheston and is a delightful site, and hiking along the River Mont Cave Historical Trail is tremendous fun.
Lake Cheston is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Laurel Trails Campground
is a perfect local campground; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Big Fiery Gizzard Creek. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Lake Cheston, you could stop at Pinckney Branch; you must absolutely dedicate some time to Sewanee Plateau while you're here at Lake Cheston.
