There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Camping at Kirkstone Lake is great fun, Bean Pot Holiday Trav-l-park is a great local campground; a lake close by is Glastowbury Lake. So many cool things to do at Kirkstone Lake, so little time. You're sure to stumble upon some good folks from Crossville here; if you come at the right time of year, Daddy's Creek offers some delightful       whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Fooshee Pass Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and an afternoon playing golf at Stonehenge Golf Club is always a joy. So many cool things to do in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains, not sufficient time. Camp Branch is one of the streams close by that might be worth taking a look at; dry warm beds await you at Fairfield Glade. If you came for an overnight stay                  Deer Run RV Resort is a great place to camp; Obed Wild & Scenic River is a very great site to explore. This lake is so wonderful. Kirkstone Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is October. Why not check out Kirkstone Lake Dam while you're here; if you need a site to stay Fairfield Glade Resort is a fine choice. Kirkstone Lake is a beautiful lake in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. All through the summertime months here at Kirkstone Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's.
