Kirkpatrick Lake gets lots of water; the wettest month of the year is regularly March, that's the one that rains the most while October is generally the driest month. Kirkpatrick Lake beyond doubt is in the middle of a picturesque outdoors paradise. If you need a site to stay GuestHouse Inn Gallatin is a perfect choice, and if you're visiting from Nashville-Davidson—Murfreesboro, you won't be the only one. A quick  
   visit to Bulls Creek in close proximity to Kirkpatrick Lake is a delightful idea; there are some great whitewater spots on Bledsoe Creek.
Camping at Shady Cove Resort is always a great experience, and not far from Kirkpatrick Lake you obtain some tremendous water scenery at Old Lock and Dam Number Four. L A Green Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at; a fine site to camp here at Kirkpatrick Lake is Ebaneezer Campground.

               wonderful. Do check out Ackers Lake close to Kirkpatrick Lake, it's a striking lake, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Gallatin is a nice place to spend a night or two. High temperatures at Kirkpatrick Lake through the months of summer are in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 60's. Through the winter highs are generally in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Kirkpatrick Lake.

Bledsoe creek was a real let down. The only time to go to this is if there has been atleast one inch of rain the previous day before you go. When we got there it was a dried up creek bed so there was no rafting for us that day; we just had to settle on practicing our rolls....

Small, well kept campground that is privately owned and operated. Owners on site most of the time. During the season there is free live entertainment two or three nights a weeks. Always free coffee in the office for visitors. Front desk staff is friendly and can help you plan your stay in Nasvhille. Tours and show tickets available at the front desk as well.

Lesters Lake is no longer there. It was drained years ago after a girl was killed swimming there when she swam into an area inhabited by cottonmouth snakes and was bitten several times....Do you remember swimming at Lesters Lake...1970...?...
