Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Big Moccasin Creek; if you need a site to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites KINGSPORT-MEADOWVIEW I-181 is a magnificent choice. This lake is so wonderful. Kingsport Reservoir is close to Bays Mountain Dam which is a wonderful site without doubt worth checking out; Bristol-Kingsport KOA is a good campground nearby. Dolan Branch       is a delightful stream that is worth stopping at; dry warm beds await you at Marriott Meadowview Resort. This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of folks from Kingsport-Bristol here. All through the warm months highs here at Kingsport Reservoir reach the 80's; the night is fairly cooler of course, typically in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's; overnight lows in the 20's for Kingsport Reservoir. Rock Springs Campground is a pleasant                  local campground, and a tremendous vista of beautiful Cherry Knobs is available. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff at Kingsport Reservoir. For you golfers we recommend nearby Silver Lake Golf Club, and if you fancy a little side visit, try Dolan Gap. There's whitewater on Stock Creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and Clouds Bend is an attention-grabbing thing to make out while you're here.
