If you came for an overnight stay Baileyton Camp Inn is a nice place to camp, and Andrew Johnson Golf Club is a nice golf course nearby. Grassy Valley is right next door to Kidwell Pond and is certainly a perfect location to take a look at, and nearby you stumble on the Camp Creek Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail. At Kidwell Pond through the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's       while nighttime lows are commonly in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Kidwell Pond dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. And that's not all you can do here at Kidwell Pond. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Big Laurel Creek, and why not a little side tour to South Fork Roaring Fork. After a long day outdoors Greeneville-Days Inn is a great place to spend a night or two, and if you come at the right                  time of year, French Broad River offers some pleasant whitewater. Here at Kidwell Pond there are plenty of people from Greeneville, and a short visit to Brown Spring is always worthwhile. This lake is so wonderful. Days Inn is a delightful site to get some rest. Camping at Kidwell Pond is splendid fun, Paint Creek Campground is a splendid local campground, and there is a glorious hiking trail close by called the Trail of the Lonesome Pine.
