Kidwell Pond gets much water; May is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is October. This lake is so wonderful. There is a fine hiking trail near Kidwell Pond called the Camp Creek Trail, and Greeneville-Days Inn is a pleasant site to get some rest. Kidwell Pond is not far at all from Greeneville, and whitewater paddling is delightful on Big Laurel Creek. A splendid site to camp here at Kidwell       Pond is The Oaks Retreat Center, and on a nice day you can take a hike along the Trail of the Lonesome Pine. Lakeview Estates Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out, and don't leave Kidwell Pond without first paying a visit to Brown Spring. This lake is so wonderful. Some of the water nearby flows, like South Fork Roaring Fork, and Grassy Valley is another good spot to go to close by. Get drenched paddling on French Broad River; playing golf is lots                  of fun at Andrew Johnson Golf Club. This spot is unbeatable, just explore all the entertaining stuff to do in the neighborhood of Kidwell Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Jameson Inn Greeneville-Tn, and camping is available at Kinser Park. For the period of the summertime months here at Kidwell Pond, high temperatures usually reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's.
