If only every place had this much outdoors fun stuff, what a great planet it would be. Kentucky Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Piney Campground is a perfect local campground, and the Scout Trail offers hiking at its best. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Kentucky Lake; Buffalo Trail is a good local trail, and Lost Bay is not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. A good nearby hotel       is Super 8 Motel, Murray, KY. Kentucky Lake gets a great deal of water; during the month of December you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is October. While you're here at Kentucky Lake, you could also stop by stunning Robertson Lake, and Causey Hollow is nearby, and is a brilliant place. Mint Spring is always fun to check out; if you need a place to stay Lake Barkley State Resort is a pleasant choice. Camping at Shamrock                  Resort is always a great experience, and during your trip here you'll meet some folks from Murray for sure. For the period of the summertime at Kentucky Lake highs are usually in the 80's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 60's. For the period of the winter the highs are generally in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Kentucky Lake are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful.
