Camping is available at Horseshoe Bend Marina, and whitewater paddling is magnificent on Caney Fork. Grassy Mountain is simple to spot from Lake Karen, and get drenched paddling on Rocky River. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Interesting geology is available here; Lock Bend is in the neighborhood of Lake Karen, and Scottish Inns McMinnville is a great site to get some rest. Lake       Karen sees pretty high levels of rain; March is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is October. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Spencer Cove RV Park while you're here at Lake Karen; you're sure to encounter some wonderful folks from McMinnville here. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Lake Karen, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's; nighttime lows in the 20's for Lake Karen.
