Beautiful Johnston Ponds has much to offer visitors. Summer at Johnston Ponds comes with high temperatures in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. Highs during the winter are usually in the 40's while Johnston Ponds overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's. Johnston Ponds typically gets a good deal of precipitation; March is when you get the most rain here, and October is when it's the driest.

| | This lake is so wonderful. The scenery at Johnston Lake Dam Number One in the neighborhood of Johnston Ponds is lovely; some of the water nearby flows, like Black Fox Creek.

During your journey to Johnston Ponds you'll meet some people from Dalton for sure, and Budget Inn is a wonderful
location to get some rest. Camping is available at Mc Donald Koa Kampground, and if you come at the right time of year, Deep Creek offers some glorious whitewater. If you came for an overnight stay Chattanooga North KOA is a great site to camp, and you'll hit upon a lovely lake called Stone Lake.
