This lake is so wonderful. Holiday Inn Express MONTICELLO is a great site to get some rest. Jamestown Reservoir is a quite wet place frequently with much rainfall; December is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is October.

Hidden Passage Trail
Hidden passage trail has a little of something for everyone's liking. This trail with its waterfalls, caves, hemlock forests, rock formations and the unobstructed views of adjacent mountains that seem as if you could reach out and touch them make this a must see and at the top of my list. The trail is moderate/difficult depending on your pace. We started this 10 mile trail at 3:30 pm and finished it at 7:30pm with frequent 10 minute stops along the way but would not recommend this to someone not looking for a workout. This trail can be quite dangerous as you walk along cliff edges less then a foot from the trail. I would NOT recommend taking children on this trail. We hiked this trail in august on a cool day cloudy low 80's. ...
