If you come at the right time of year, Little Harpeth River offers some good whitewater; Sleep Inn Brentwood is a splendid place to get some rest. If you need a spot to stay Country Inn And Suites By Carlson Cool Springs is a good choice, and Rau-wood Retreat Center is a great local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Jackson Lake without first paying a visit to Whitehearst Cave Spring, and here at       Jackson Lake you can make out Ropers Knob. Jackson Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; March is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is October. Baugh Branch is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at; playing golf is lots of fun at Forrest Crossing Golf Course. At Jackson Lake during the summer highs are in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in                  the 40's, and nighttime lows all through the wintertime for Jackson Lake tend to be in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Holly Tree Gap is close to Jackson Lake and is certainly a great site to visit; folks from Nashville-Davidson—Murfreesboro love to come here. Just can't get enough of Jackson Lake.
