Get yourself into a kayak and hit Big Fiery Gizzard Creek; if you haven’t been to Russell Cave National Monument, you must schedule some time       for it since you're here. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant nearby hotel is Monteagle-Days Inn, and an exciting thing to stop by near Jackson Lake is Jackson Lake Dam. On a lovely day you obtain a panorama of Cape of Good Hope from Jackson Lake, and lakes are such calm places, why not stop by Lake Cheston. Yeah, come here to Jackson Lake for a great time. The River Mont Cave Historical Trail offers hiking at its best, and don't forget to stop at Kirby                  Smith Point since you're here. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Jackson Lake. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's with temperatures at Jackson Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Get covered with water paddling on Little Fiery Gizzard Creek; of course Barnes Branch flows through this region. Jackson Lake is a pretty wet place typically with a good deal of precipitation; March is when you get the most rain here, and August is the month with the least moisture. If you came to camp Laurel Trails Campground is a fine place to do that, and there are other sites here than Jackson Lake, for example Eva Lake. Harrison Spring is an inspiring site to have a look at during your stay, and there's good hiking along the Winding Stairs.
