Here at J E Walker Lake there are plenty of people from Cookevi lle, and a striking lake like Monterey Lake is a brilliant place       to check out. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. City of Monterey Lake is a splendid lake in the neighborhood of J E Walker Lake; J E Walker Lake Dam has glorious water scenery. So many entertaining things to do here at J E Walker Lake, too nice to be true. Camping at Cherokee Lodge is always a pleasant experience, and you could always discover Flat House Hollow. All the water falling                  down from the sky makes J E Walker Lake a wet place; most of the rain falls during July, and October is when it's the driest. During the summer months at J E Walker Lake highs are frequently in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Highs during the wintertime are usually in the 40's; overnight lows at J E Walker Lake through the wintertime generally fall into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Monterey; from J E Walker Lake you acquire a good vista of Hampton Mountain.
