Don't leave Hunt Lake without first paying a visit to McKay Spring; if you need a place to stay Cleveland-Days Inn is a fine choice. This lake is so wonderful. Enjoy a round of golf at Cherokee Springs Golf Course not far from Hunt Lake, and Hunt Lake is a good location to camp, Chattanooga North KOA is a good location. One of the overriding traits of the surroundings of Hunt Lake is Hickory Top; don't forget to take       a great little tour to Hicks Branch. And if that's not enough, there's a heap more to do in the vicinity of Hunt Lake. Whitewater paddling is tremendous on Conasauga River, and hiking along the Conasauga River Trail is glorious fun. The high level of rainfall makes Hunt Lake a rather wet place; through the month of March you get the most rain around here while October is commonly the driest month. After a long day outdoors Cleveland Knights Inn is a splendid                  place to spend a night or two; in case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Conasauga River. Here at Hunt Lake there are plenty of folks from Cleveland, and if you've had enough of Hunt Lake, Kile Lake is close by. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Hunt Lake has to offer, you can camp at Chilhowee Rec Area - Cherokee National Forest; going for a hike along the Gryder Camp Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Throughout the months of summer highs here at Hunt Lake get into the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's.
