This lake is so wonderful. Howells Lake is not the only place nearby, Tailings Pond Number Four is a nearby lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Rau-wood Retreat Center is a wonderful place to camp. A lot of rain falls at Howells Lake; March is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is September. A lake close by is Monsanto       Number Fifteen Lake, and why not camp at Traveler's RV Park while you're here at Howells Lake. All through the summertime months highs here at Howells Lake get into the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 40's while Howells Lake night low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 20's.
