This lake is so wonderful. Ponderosa Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at;       Howard H Baker Senior Lake is a tremendous place to visit for more than one day, Bandy Creek Campground is a tremendous place to camp nearby. Just can't get enough of the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. There are tremendous spots to look at along the Laurel Creek Trail; if you have time to spare, Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area is a national park worth going to. After a long day outdoors Best Western South Fork Inn is a magnificent place to                  spend a night or two, and going for a hike on the Racoon Loop is always a magnificent adventure. Summertime highs at Howard H Baker Senior Lake regularly tend to be in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 40's, and nighttime lows during the winter for Howard H Baker Senior Lake tend to be in the 20's.
