Hood Lake is one of the lakes here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Camping at Roam and Roost RV Campground is always a magnificent experience; get covered with water paddling on Obed River. Hood Lake frequently gets much rainfall; most of the rain falls during March, and October is the month with the least moisture. At Hood Lake during the summertime months highs are in the 80's. For the period       of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's. Throughout the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Hood Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious location to camp here at Hood Lake is Crossville Holiday Trav-l-Park, and there's some flowing water close by, Caney Fork Creek is a stream you can stop at during your stay. Hood Lake Dam is not far at all from Hood Lake, and for you golfers we recommend close by River                  Run Golf Club. So many entertaining things to do in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains, not enough time. Dry warm beds await you at Inn of the Cumberlands, and there are plenty of people from Crossville here. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Clifty Creek.
