Home Basin is a wet place that gets a lot of precipitation; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is August. High temperatures at Home Basin through the warm days of summer are in the 90's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's.       The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Home Basin descend into the 20's. Reelfoot Creek flows through this region, and Samburg Motel is a good site to get some rest. Fehringer Bar is near Home Basin and is positively a brilliant location to visit, and                  the wonderful folks of Union City like to hang out close by. This lake is so wonderful.
