Hines Pond is always a pleasure to visit. Monteagle-Days Inn is a glorious spot to get some rest, and you can run the rapids of Big Fiery Gizzard Creek. Summertime highs at Hines Pond regularly tend to be in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. During the winter highs are frequently in the 40's with temperatures at Hines Pond dipping down into the 20's all through winter nights.

| | worthwhile, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Hines Pond; River Mont Cave Historical Trail is a pleasant local trail. Hines Pond is a reasonably wet place usually with much precipitation; during March this area sees the most rain; June meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Smokehouse Lodge, and you can stay the night at Laurel Trails Campground.

Creek for all you adrenaline junkies; there's some interesting stuff to catch a glimpse of at Plainview Dam near Hines Pond. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff in the neighborhood of Hines Pond. You'll need more than a day
to discover everything Hines Pond has to offer, you can camp at South Cumberland RV Park, and lakes are such serene spots, why not go to Grundy Lake Number Two. This lake is so wonderful. East Ramsey is pretty and can be seen from
Hines Pond, and do take some time to stop at Grundy State Forest while you're here.
Little Fiery Gizzard Creek is a stream that you may run into while here, and the Winding Stairs offers hiking at its best.
