Highlander Pond is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, South Cumberland RV Park is a perfect local campground, and a delightful close by hotel is Best Western Smokehouse Lodge. Highlander Pond usually gets a lot of rain; March is the month that gets the most rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for       everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Little Fiery Gizzard Creek, and a visit to Bridal Veil Falls will fill your soul with tremendous feelings. You're sure to run into some nice people from Tullahoma here, and there's whitewater on Big Fiery Gizzard Creek for all you adrenaline kick people. Any time is a delightful time at Highlander Pond if you go for the outdoors. You'll locate a charming lake called Littell Number One Lake near Highlander Pond,                  and great hiking is available along the River Mont Cave Historical Trail. Highlander Pond Dam is beautiful and it's next to Highlander Pond, and you are close to Forrest Point while you're here. Go for a hike on the Winding Stairs; nearby you come across delightful locations like The Hurricane. Throughout the long summer days at Highlander Pond temperatures are generally in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. Highs during the winter are commonly in the 40's with temperatures at Highlander Pond dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Highlander Pond. Russell Cave National Monument is a splendid site near Highlander Pond. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Laurel Trails Campground is a good site to do that, and if you need a site to stay Monteagle-Days Inn is a brilliant choice.
