Halls Mill Pond is a nice lake to visit. You need to visit Baker Bluff if you're here at Halls Mill Pond, and the California Trail offers hiking at its best. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Halls Mill Pond with overnight lows in the 60's. Throughout the winter the highs are usually in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Halls Mill Pond fall into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Kingsport/I-81 is a nice location to spend a night or two.
So much entertaining stuff near Halls Mill Pond, simply phenomenal. Visit Brown Creek since you're here at Halls Mill Pond, and Cox
Hollow is around here, and is a magnificent place. Halls Mill Pond gets lots of water; the month with most of the rain is July while October is mostly the driest month.
If you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Watauga; dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn South.
