This lake is located in the wonderful Cumberland Plateau Mountains. So many cool things to do in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains, not sufficient time. Obed River is a fine whitewater spot right next door to Hale Lake, and naturally Baker Branch is a beautiful stream that is worth checking out. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. There's so much to do here       at Hale Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Bean Pot Holiday Trav-l-park is a delightful location for that; Horseshoe Bend is an interesting place to stop by while at Hale Lake. If you need a place to stay Comfort Suites Crossville is a brilliant choice, and there are nice locations to look at along the Fooshee Pass Trail. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Hale Lake with night lows in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's while the                  cold winter nights at Hale Lake are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Crossville Koa Kampground is a good place to do that, and a good site close by is Keating Hollow. So much exciting stuff to do at Hale Lake, so little time. For you golfers we recommend nearby Bear Trace Golf Course, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Crossville Tn is a tremendous place to spend a night or two. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Saint George Lake; you can run the rapids of Daddy's Creek. Lakes are great; Wildwood Lake is a lake that's close to Hale Lake. Hale Lake gets a good deal of water; the wettest month of the year is regularly March, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is October. This lake is so wonderful.
