While you're here at Gum Pond you will meet lots of folks from close by Crossville. This lake is located in the wonderful Cumberland Plateau Mountains. So many enjoyable things in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains, just extraordinary. Here at Gum Pond you can see Big Level, and a good location for whitewater paddling is Clifty Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Super 8 Crossville, TN is a good location to get some rest, and there       are other spots here than Gum Pond, for example J P Wyatt Lake. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. If you need a site to stay Days Inn Crossville is a pleasant choice, and if you came to camp Ballyhoo Family Campground is a great spot to do that. If you go for the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Gum Pond. A good spot to stop at near Gum Pond is Jane Hollow; Pilot Falls is always fun to check out. All the                  water falling down from the sky makes Gum Pond a wet place; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain; October is the month with the least moisture. Get your heart beating on the wonderful whitewater of Caney Fork. There's so much to do here at Gum Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Cherokee Lodge is a tremendous spot for that. Bryant Mill Branch is a stream that you may come across during your stay, and Spring Lake is a perfect lake close by. Summer at Gum Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's while nighttime lows are usually in the 60's.
