This lake is located in the wonderful Cumberland Plateau Mountains. During the months of summer at Gum Pond temperatures are frequently in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 60's. For the period of the winter the highs are regularly in the 40's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Gum Pond drop into the 20's. Gum Pond frequently gets a great deal of       precipitation; March is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is October. This lake is so wonderful. Caney Fork is a tremendous whitewater spot in the vicinity of Gum Pond, and Gum Pond is not far at all from Crossville. Just can't get enough of the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. If you need a place to stay Crossville Days Inn is a great choice; the peak of Big Level can be spotted from Gum Pond. And that's not all you can do                  here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. If you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clifty Creek, and not far from Gum Pond you'll hit upon Spring Lake which is a beautiful lake. You just should adore Gum Pond. A good nearby hotel is Super 8 Motel Crossville Tn, and Pilot Falls is an inspiring location to have a look at while you're here. Stay the night at Cherokee Lodge, and while you're here, you could visit Bryant Mill Branch. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here, you might as well take a look at Jane Hollow.
