    It's always fun to stop by Gum Pond. If you're here at Gum Pond, you could visit Bryant Mill Branch; Jane Hollow is a brilliant site to spend some time. And if that's not enough there's a heap more exciting stuff to do in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Stay the night at Crossville Koa Kampground, and a magnificent nearby hotel is Fall Creek Falls Inn. This lake is one of the great places here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains.
This lake is so wonderful.
 
   Put some time aside to spend at Pilot Falls if you're here at Gum Pond, and Crossville Holiday Trav-l-Park is a delightful campground here. High temperatures at Gum Pond throughout the summertime months are in the 80's; the overnight is fairly chillier of course, generally in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Gum Pond through the wintertime commonly dip into the 20's. This site rules, just check out all the exciting stuff  
               to do close to Gum Pond. Gum Pond is not far at all from Crossville; you can run the rapids of Clifty Creek.
Now, you may feel that's a load but there's even more amusing stuff to do here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Big Level is clearly visible from Gum Pond. All the water falling down from the sky makes Gum Pond a wet site; all through March this area sees the most rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. If you need a site to stay Inn of the Cumberlands is a tremendous choice; get your heart beating on the splendid whitewater of Caney Fork.
