Why not stop at Grundy Lake Number One Dam since you're here, and dropping by Russell Cave National Monument is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Winding Stairs is always a good adventure, and if you crave a little side journey, try Cannon Hollow. Get wet paddling on Little Fiery Gizzard Creek, and if you need a site to stay American Eagle Inn is a delightful choice.

Lake Number One. Grundy Lake Number One is great enough to spend more than a day at, Laurel Trails Campground is a great local campground, and nearby you stumble on the River Mont Cave Historical Trail which is a brilliant hiking
trail. Just can't get enough of Grundy Lake Number One. A lake nearby is Grundy Lake Number Four, and if you're interested in cool geologic characteristics try Black Bottom.
Summertime highs at Grundy Lake Number One usually tend
to be in the 80's while night lows are usually in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Grundy Lake Number One sink into the 20's.
