If you like lakes and you're in this part of Tennessee you can check out Green Shadow Lake. There are other spots here than Green Shadow Lake, for example Jersey Meadow Lake, and going for a hike on the Gryder Camp Trail is always a great adventure. After a long day outdoors Whitewater Lodge is a nice site to spend a night or two, and Chattanooga North KOA is a great campground here. The high level of rain makes Green Shadow Lake a relatively wet location;

| | March is the wettest month with most rain, and October on the other hand is the driest.
There is a great hiking trail right next door to Green Shadow Lake called the Conasauga River Trail, and you can stay the night at Chilhowee Rec Area - Cherokee National Forest. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is delightful on Conasauga River, and there's some out of the ordinary stuff to see at Green Shadow Dam in close proximity to Green Shadow Lake. All | |

through the summer months at Green Shadow Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 60's. Throughout the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 40's, and through the dark hours in
the winter at Green Shadow Lake temperatures dip to the 20's.
Applegate Inn is a splendid site to get some rest, and during your journey here you'll meet some people from Cleveland for sure. This lake is so wonderful. Some nearby
water includes Bird Branch. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun stuff the area near Green Shadow Lake has to offer. If you're here at Green Shadow Lake and you like golf, you can take a look at Cherokee Springs Golf Course; get drenched paddling on Conasauga River.
