Graveston Mill Pond is a lake worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Ramada Limited East Knoxville is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two, and you could always look at Wood Hollow. Graveston Mill Pond gets a good deal of water; March is the month that gets the most rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Hiking along the River Bluff Trail is tremendous fun, and a pretty lake like Thunder

Knoxville-East/Chilhowee Park/Fairgrounds/Zoo Days Inn is a great place to get some rest, and do take a hike on the Deer Trail. You'll find a scenic lake called Mill Lake near Graveston Mill Pond, and Graveston Mill Pond is a spot with many visitors from Knoxville. This lake is so wonderful. to spend more than a day at, Hickory Star is a great local campground; in close proximity to Graveston Mill Pond you locate a golf course called River Islands Golf Club. A great place to camp here at Graveston Mill Pond is Lakeview
Campground, and of course North Fork Bullrun Creek flows through this vicinity. Summer at Graveston Mill Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 60's. The wintertime
brings highs down to the 40's, and night lows at Graveston Mill Pond throughout the winter ordinarily sink into the 20's.

River Bluff Trail

People who've hiked the trail along the Clinch River just downstream of Norris Dam could tell you about how good this place is for spring wildflowers. 3. 2 miles of trail with a nice blend of flat easy walking along the river coupled with a bit of climbing and a ridgeline hike back to the car makes for a good workout--but one you'll hardly notice due to the grand views of flowers and scenery.
Don't give up when you first start this trail because you'll see only a few flowers along the first 1/2 mile. Beyond that, you'll think you've entered some kind of wildflower garden. Honest--the displays are that good.
