Flat Branch is a stream that you may run into while here, and Goose Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Reelfoot Lake State Park is a tremendous local campground. The high level of rain makes Goose Lake a rather wet location; May is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is September. This lake is so wonderful. Near Goose Lake you stumble on a golf course called Oakview       Links Golf Course, and naturally, this is a pleasant area for folks who like lakes, Horseshoe Lake is a lake nearby. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites DYERSBURG is a great place to get some rest. At Goose Lake through the days of summer highs are in the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Goose Lake.
