Man, is there loads of amusing things to do in the neighborhood of Gibson Pond. Some of the water nearby flows, like Greasy Creek. Have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Forked Pine Nature Trail, and Chickasaw State Park is a pleasant campground here. Gibson Pond is right by the Fern Loop Nature Trail, and College Inn Motel Henderson is a great spot to get some rest.       This lake is so wonderful. Gibson Pond is a fine location to camp, Joy-o RV Park is a fine location; the fine people of Jackson like to hang out nearby. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Whiteville is a glorious spot to spend a night or two; hiking along the Lakeshore Nature Trail is pleasant fun. Throughout the warmest time of the year at Gibson Pond temperatures are ordinarily in the 90's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the                  60's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Gibson Pond descend into the 20's.
