Russel White Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by, and you're sure to come across some smiling folks from Nashville-Davidson—Murfreesboro here. Gentry Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; March is the wettest month with most rain, and October on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Gentry Lake is a good spot to visit for more than one day, Manchester KOA is a good spot to camp       nearby; a wonderful close by hotel is Best Western Franklin Inn. Gentry Lake Dam has good water scenery and it's near Gentry Lake, and Old Natchez Country Club is a nice golf course nearby. One of the overriding traits of the surroundings of Gentry Lake is Reid Hill, and Comfort Inn Franklin is a great place to get some rest. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. While you're here at Gentry Lake, you could also go to scenic Nelson Elam Lake, and                  don't leave Gentry Lake without first paying a visit to Glass Spring. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Rau-wood Retreat Center; drift down the rapids of Little Harpeth River in a kayak. Through the warm days of summer highs here at Gentry Lake get into the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 60's.
