Camping is available at Cotton Port Marina and Campground, and after a long day outdoors Classic Suites is a tremendous location to spend a night or two. Flag Pond gets much water; during March this area sees the most rain; the driest of the months is October. For the duration of the summer at Flag Pond highs are regularly in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The cold days of the       wintertime come with highs in the 40's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Flag Pond fall into the 20's. There are swamps here too; Hooper Slough is close at hand, and if you need a spot to stay Super 8 Motel - Cleveland is a glorious choice. The peak of Texas Knobs can be distinguished from Flag Pond, and a great place for whitewater paddling is Morgan Creek. This place, Flag Pond, it completely has so much outdoors exciting stuff.                  Why not camp at Chilhowee Rec Area - Cherokee National Forest if you're here at Flag Pond, and you can go for a hike on the Laurel-Snow Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Flag Pond you'll perhaps meet some people from Cleveland. A trip to Flag Pond wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Cofer Spring, and get your heart pumping on the good whitewater of Richland Creek. This lake is so wonderful.
