If you're visiting Flag Pond from Cleveland, you won't be the only one, and Hooper Slough is a swamp next to Flag Pond. Flag Pond is a pretty wet place commonly with a lot of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is March; the driest of the months is October. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Chilhowee Rec Area - Cherokee National Forest, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Cleveland. This       lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Richland Creek offers some great whitewater, and don't forget to take a pleasant little journey to Agency Creek. Go for a hike on the Laurel-Snow Trail, and the vista of Texas Knobs is beautiful. During the summertime months highs here at Flag Pond get into the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are frequently in                  the 40's, and overnight lows at Flag Pond through the wintertime generally descend into the 20's. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Morgan Creek. So much fun stuff near Flag Pond, simply astonishing. Classic Suites is a fine place to get some rest, and a lake nearby is Pierce Pond.
