There are splendid sites to explore along the Winding Stairs, and a brilliant place nearby is Little Cove. During the warm days of summer, highs usually are in the 80's at Eva Lake with overnight lows in the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 40's; night lows in the 20's for Eva Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Cape of Good Hope is painless to spot from Eva       Lake, and a quick visit to Barnes Branch is beyond doubt a splendid idea. If you come at the right time of year, Big Fiery Gizzard Creek offers some wonderful whitewater, and a spree to Russell Cave National Monument is worthwhile. Any time is a delightful time at Eva Lake if you adore the outdoors. A fine nearby hotel is Best Western Smokehouse Lodge, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not explore Mont Milner Lake. Eva Lake is a wet location that gets                  lots of rain; most of the rain falls through March, and August is the month with the least moisture. After a long day outdoors Monteagle-Days Inn is a good location to spend a night or two, and a journey to close by Kelleys Point is very relaxing. Why not camp at Laurel Trails Campground since you're here at Eva Lake, and you can go for a hike on the River Mont Cave Historical Trail. Mont Milner Lake Dam has splendid water scenery and it's close to Eva Lake; drift down the rapids of Little Fiery Gizzard Creek in a kayak. A nice spot to camp here at Eva Lake is South Cumberland RV Park; you'll meet a lot of people from Tullahoma here.
