Many people like to go to Ernest Taylor Lake. Now, you may believe that's heaps but there's even more exciting stuff to do here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. A tour to Anderson Gap is always fun; paddling on South Suck Creek is so much fun. Ernest Taylor Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is frequently March, that's the one that rains the most while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Russell Cave National Monument is a tremendous site next to Ernest Taylor Lake. Stay the night at Racoon Mountain Campground; hiking is a popular thing to do around Ernest Taylor Lake; Lookout Creek Trail is a nice local trail. This lake is so | |

wonderful. The Skyuka Trail offers hiking at its best, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites CHATTANOOGA-HIXSON is a glorious spot to get some rest.
Ernest Taylor Lake is located in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. High temperatures
at Ernest Taylor Lake during the warmest time of the year are in the 80's with night lows in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's; overnight lows in the 20's for Ernest Taylor Lake. North Chickamauga Creek has a brilliant
whitewater paddling spot nearby, and good water scenery is available at Ernest Taylor Dam near Ernest Taylor Lake.
And if that's not enough there's a heap more cool stuff to do in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. There's so much
to do here at Ernest Taylor Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Raccoon Mountain Campground is a wonderful site for that, and lots of people from Chattanooga come here.
