Edgemon Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Campground On The Lakeshore is a good local campground. At Edgemon Lake all through the warm months highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. Highs during the winter are generally in the 40's while Edgemon Lake night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 20's. Edgemon Lake ordinarily gets a large amount of       rain; March is the month that gets the most rain; October on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. There are plenty of folks from Harriman here at Edgemon Lake; from Edgemon Lake you get a good view of Ten Mile Knob. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Piney Creek; after a long day outdoors Quality Inn & Suites is a magnificent location to spend a night or two. And if that's not enough, there's a heap more to do in the vicinity of Edgemon Lake. White's Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot close by; going for a hike along the Fooshee Pass Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region.
