Here at Duck Pond there are plenty of people from Tullahoma, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Smokehouse Lodge is a brilliant place to spend a night or two. Blue Spring Branch flows through this area, and Russell Cave National Monument is a perfect national park. Just can't get enough of Duck Pond. Little Fiery Gizzard Creek has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot close by, and do put some time aside to spend at Gilliam       Springs while you're here at Duck Pond. Duck Pond is right by the River Mont Cave Historical Trail; Monteagle-Days Inn is a pleasant site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Duck Pond, you'll find Patton Pond which is a stunning lake; you can stay the night at Laurel Trails Campground. Paddling on Big Fiery Gizzard Creek is so much fun; while you're here, you might as well stop by Bell Cove. All the water falling down from the                  sky makes Duck Pond a wet site; March is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is October. This lake is so wonderful. Duck Pond is a glorious place to visit for more than one day, South Cumberland RV Park is a glorious place to camp nearby, and the Winding Stairs offers hiking at its best. Throughout the months of summer highs here at Duck Pond reach the 80's; the nighttime is rather colder of course, commonly in the 60's.
