Go to Dorton Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Cumberland Plateau Mountains. If you need a site to stay La Quinta Inn Crossville is a fine choice, and why not pop by Dorton Lake Dam while you're here. Dorton Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain; October is when it's the driest.

| | Lake is delightful fun, Crossville Koa Kampground is a delightful local campground. So much exciting stuff to do in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains, not sufficient time. Hiking along the Laurel-Snow Trail is great fun, and after a long day outdoors Crossville Days Inn is a brilliant location to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Soar down the rapids of Obed River in a kayak; Dorton Lake is a great place to camp, Tennessee Cumberland Campgrnd is a great place.
All the outdoors enjoyable stuff in the vicinity of Dorton Lake will keep you coming back time and again. Get dripping wet paddling on Daddy's Creek, and Byrd Creek Lake is a great lake close by. For the duration of the warmest time
of the year highs here at Dorton Lake get into the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Dorton Lake.
This lake is so wonderful.
