Many people like to go to Dorton Lake. Yeah, come up here to the Cumberland Plateau Mountains for a splendid time. If you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel Crossville Tn is a great choice, and you can stay the night at Ballyhoo Family Campground. Go for a hike on the Laurel-Snow Trail; there are some splendid whitewater spots on Daddy's Creek. The Cumberland Plateau Mountains scenery is always beautiful.

There's so much to do here at Dorton Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Crossville Koa Kampground is a wonderful site for that. Lots of rain falls at Dorton Lake; the month with most of the rain is March; October meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Through the days of summer highs here at Dorton Lake reach the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are typically in the 40's; nighttime lows through
the winter for Dorton Lake tend to be in the 20's. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. The scenery at Dorton Lake Dam in the vicinity of Dorton Lake is charming; Byrd Creek Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could
pop by. This lake is so wonderful. Playing golf is lots of fun at River Run Golf Club.
Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Obed River, and if you get bored of Dorton Lake you could also pop by close by Hiawawtha Lake.
