This lake is located in the wonderful Cumberland Plateau Mountains. If you came to camp Powell Valley Resort is a great spot to do that, and close by you discover the Deer Trail which is a splendid hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the River Bluff Trail is always a good adventure, and a tremendous nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Clinton. Doakes Creek Dam is not far at       all from Doakes Pond, and it's a magnificent idea to have a look at Doakes Creek. Now, you may think that's a lot but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Doakes Pond. On a pretty day you acquire a view of High Knob from Doakes Pond, and you'll meet a lot of folks from La Follette here. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Doakes Pond with overnight lows in the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 40's; night lows at Doakes Pond                  all through the wintertime ordinarily sink into the 20's.
