     Dayton Reservoir is a nice lake to visit. This lake is so wonderful. There is a nice hiking trail close to Dayton Reservoir called the Laurel-Snow Trail, and whitewater paddling is great on Richland Creek. But wait, there's more to do near Dayton Reservoir. Put some time aside to spend at Laurel Falls while you're here at Dayton Reservoir; why not camp at Cotton Port Marina and Campground while you're here at Dayton Reservoir. Dayton Reservoir sees pretty  
   high levels of rainfall; during March this area sees the most rain, and October meanwhile is the driest month.
For the period of the warmest time of the year, highs generally are in the 80's at Dayton Reservoir. During the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 40's, and night lows throughout the winter for Dayton Reservoir tend to be in the 20's. Camping is available at Blue water Campground, and a splendid site
 
               to stop at is North Pole Gulf. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Dayton, and if you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Morgan Creek.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the Cumberland Plateau Mountains has to offer. While you're here at Dayton Reservoir you should go to Buzzard Point; Henderson Creek is near Dayton Reservoir and is always a joy to visit. Having a good time in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains is easy. If you need a place to stay Scottish Inns & Suites Dayton is a perfect choice.
