Go to Day Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Dry warm beds await you at Monteagle-Days Inn, and if you come at the right time of year, Big Fiery Gizzard Creek offers some splendid whitewater. All the water falling down from the sky makes Day Lake a wet place; most of the rain falls during March, and August is when it's the driest. There's pleasant hiking along the Winding Stairs, and Best Western Smokehouse Lodge is a tremendous site to get some rest.

| | Glide down the rapids of Little Fiery Gizzard Creek in a kayak, and swing by Falls Branch it's a magnificent place to take a look at. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at South Cumberland RV Park is always a great experience, and you'll almost certainly meet some people from Tullahoma here. Russell Cave National Monument is a brilliant local destination here at Day Lake.

at Day Lake; camping is available at Laurel Trails Campground. Now, you may believe that's lots but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Day Lake. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop at Day Lake Dam, and
if you've had enough of Day Lake, Lake Cheston is close by. For the duration of the warm days of summer here at Day Lake, high temperatures regularly get into the 80's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 60's. For the period
of the wintertime the highs are usually in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Day Lake descend into the 20's.
Day Lake is not the only place nearby, Eva Lake is a nearby lake, and the River Mont Cave Historical Trail offers hiking at its best.
