Davis Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. And if that's not sufficient there's a lot more fun things to do in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. There are plenty of people from Chattanooga here at Davis Lake; Mullens Creek is a glorious whitewater spot nearby. In the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Suck Creek, and don't forget to take a great little journey to Shelton

Mountain Campground is always a good experience; if time allows, Russell Cave National Monument is a national park worth going to.
The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Davis Lake with night lows in the 60's.
High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and overnight lows at Davis Lake throughout the wintertime ordinarily sink into the 20's.
