If you are traveling by, why not stop by Dalton Lake. That right there is a heap already, but it goes on; Dalton Lake has it all. If you're stopping by Dalton Lake from Morristown, you won't be the only one, and Fancher's willow Branch Camp is a great campground here. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend French Broad, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like White Pine Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful.

| | Hiking is a popular thing to do around Dalton Lake; Messer Trail is a splendid local trail, and get your heart beating on the splendid whitewater of Little Pigeon River - Middle Prong.
If you need a site to stay Comfort Inn Newport is a great choice, and some close by water includes Dry Gully Branch. A great deal of rainfall falls at Dalton Lake; the wettest month of the year is frequently July, that's the one that rains the most, and September on the other | |

hand is the driest. The Lower Whiterock Trail offers hiking at its best, and if you came for an overnight stay Fanchers Willow Branch Campground is a glorious site to camp.
This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at
White Pine-Days Inn, and there's magnificent hiking along the Stone Mountain Trail. Everybody loves Flat Woods, and Copeland Shoals is around here, and is a brilliant place.
Through the summer at Dalton Lake temperatures are generally
in the 80's, and the night is quite chillier of course, generally in the 60's. Highs during the wintertime are commonly in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Dalton Lake.
