Hiking is a popular thing to do around Dallas Lake; Skyuka Trail is a pleasant local trail, and Valleybrook Golf & Country Club is a golf course close by. Dallas Lake is a wet place that gets lots of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is March, and the driest month of the year is October. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Deep Creek. You're       sure to run into some wonderful people from Chattanooga here, and there are some glorious whitewater spots on Little Soddy Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Dallas Lake without first going for a hike along the Hardy Trail, and you'll come across a gorgeous lake called Morning Glory Lake. A tremendous spot to camp here at Dallas Lake is Cedar Creek Mobile Home Park; dry warm beds await you at HomeAway Extended Stay Studios. This lake is so wonderful.                  Dallas Bay is rather next to Dallas Lake, and there's good hiking along the Lookout Creek Trail. Camping is available at Shipps RV Center and Campground, and if you need a spot to stay Country Inn & Suites By Carlson-Chattanooga North at Hwy 153 is a perfect choice. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Dallas Lake. During the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Dallas Lake descend into the 20's. Just can't get enough of Dallas Lake.
