Hiking is a popular thing to do around Cypress Pond; Largo Trail is a good local trail; Anderson Hollow is another tremendous spot to stop at close by. Clifton Motel & Efficiency Apartments is a good place to get some rest. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Cypress Pond has to offer, you can camp at Buffalo River Canoe and Camp. Cypress Pond is a rather wet place mostly with a great deal       of precipitation; March is when you get the most rain here, and August is the month with the least moisture. At Cypress Pond all through the warm months highs are in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Cypress Pond. Good hiking is available along the Mount Zion Trail; there's some flowing water close by,                  Bateman Slough is a stream you can check out while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Sportsman Suites is a good choice, and Tennessee River Golf Club is a tremendous golf course nearby. And if that's not enough, there's a load more to do next to Cypress Pond.
