Visit Alf Loftin Branch while you're here at Collins Lakes, and Jackson Knob is striking and can be seen from here. The high level of rain makes Collins Lakes a rather wet site; March is when you get the most rain here; September on the other hand is the driest. Country Hearth Inn Columbia is a glorious place to get some rest, and if you're a golfer then a great close by course is       Kings Creek Golf Club. Camping is available at Texas T Campground. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Collins Lakes, and the night is a little colder of course, typically in the 60's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Collins Lakes. If only every spot had this much outdoors cool things, what a great earth it would be. A wonderful site to camp here at Collins Lakes                  is Traveler's RV Park; Cranford Hollow is also a great spot to discover.
