Go to Claude Reed Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. If you come at the right time of year, Crab Orchard Creek offers some splendid whitewater, and enjoy a round of golf at Rockwood Golf & Country Club. Claude Reed Lake is in the neighborhood of Claude Reed Dam which is a wonderful spot positively worth a visit; no need to travel far to go to attention-grabbing stuff like Johnson Bend. This lake is one of the great places here in the Cumberland Plateau

This lake is so wonderful. If time allows, Obed Wild & Scenic River is a national park worth going to, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites HARRIMAN is a pleasant place to get some rest. Through the days of summer highs here at Claude Reed Lake get into the 80's with night lows in the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Claude Reed Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Bolden Spring | |

is a wonderful location to explore while you're at Claude Reed Lake; Barnard Narrows Branch is close to Claude Reed Lake and is always a diversion to visit.
On a tremendous day at Claude Reed Lake you can take a hike along the
Fooshee Pass Trail. Claude Reed Lake regularly gets lots of rain; throughout the month of March you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is October. And that's not all the things you can do here in the Cumberland
Plateau Mountains. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Piney Creek; if you came for an overnight stay Caney Creek Recreational Vehicle Resort is a nice location to camp.
But wait, there's more to do near Claude Reed Lake. If you
crave a little side visit, try Mans Hollow; camping is available at Kingston Koa Kampground and Marina. So many exciting things in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains, just fantastic. Claude Reed Lake is a spot with many visitors from Harriman; after a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn & Suites Harriman is a good place to spend a night or two.
