Chilhowee Shoals is a wonderful site to look at; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Doublecamp Creek. Why not stop by nearby Chris Branch if you're here at Chilhowee Lake, and of course, this is a wonderful region for folks who like lakes, Mulberry Lake is a lake close by. Going for a hike along the Stiffknee Trail will let       you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and after a long day outdoors Jameson Inn Alcoa is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two. Lakes are great; Turkeypen Lake is a lake that's near Chilhowee Lake, and Bunker Hill can be seen from Chilhowee Lake. Throughout the summer here at Chilhowee Lake, high temperatures commonly reach the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs                  in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Chilhowee Lake. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff at Chilhowee Lake. A cool spot to visit next to Chilhowee Lake is Bolden Knight Bluff, and there are some brilliant whitewater spots on Citico Creek. Camping at Doublecamp Campground is always a good experience, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Crowder Branch Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Chilhowee Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Jake Best Campground is a nice local campground, and a delightful close by hotel is Luxbury Inn and Suites. If the weather is splendid here at Chilhowee Lake, you can go for a hike along the Mill Branch Trail, and Chilhowee Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out. The high level of rain makes Chilhowee Lake a reasonably wet place; the month with most of the rain is March, and the driest month is October.
