Go to Chandler Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. If you like the outdoors, you'll adore Chandler Lake. Grassy Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth going to; Super 8 Motel Powell is a fine location to get some rest. At Chandler Lake during the summertime months highs are in the 80's while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 60's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures

River. Chandler Lake is a delightful location to visit for more than one day, Powell Koa Kampground is a delightful location to camp nearby, and Johnson Spring is an inspiring place to go to while you're here. Chandler Lake is
a wet location that gets a large amount of rainfall; through March this area sees the most rain while October is regularly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Chandler Lake is right next door to Cheneworth Gap which is absolutely
worth taking a look at, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Dead Horse Lake Golf Course is in close proximity. During your tour to Chandler Lake you'll meet some folks from Knoxville for sure, and you can go for a hike on the Deer Trail.

River Bluff Trail

People who've hiked the trail along the Clinch River just downstream of Norris Dam could tell you about how good this place is for spring wildflowers. 3. 2 miles of trail with a nice blend of flat easy walking along the river coupled with a bit of climbing and a ridgeline hike back to the car makes for a good workout--but one you'll hardly notice due to the grand views of flowers and scenery.
Don't give up when you first start this trail because you'll see only a few flowers along the first 1/2 mile. Beyond that, you'll think you've entered some kind of wildflower garden. Honest--the displays are that good.
